HISTORY OF LAMBAKIN NATIONAL HIGHSCHOOL

No one could imagine that a grain drying facility could be used as a venue in attaining quality education. This happened to be true when a grain drying facility in Lambakin, Jaen, Nueva Ecija was used as a classroom. One thing is certain, this was because of parents’ strong will to educate their children amidst severe poverty. .

The existence of Lambakin National High School was made possible through the concerted efforts of the late Mayor Dr. Cesar Eduardo, Lambakin Brgy. Officials led by Capt. Ruben Ison and Putlod-San Jose High School Principal Eva Fe F. Taclibon. Parents of Brgy. Lambakin, Hilera, Calabasa, Pakul, Ulanin-Pitak and Sanggalang led by PTA President Agaton Sta. Ana supported the venture.

The municipality of Jaen bought 10,000 sq.m. land, the site where Lambakin National High School is now situated Popularly known “ Paaralan sa Gitna ng Halamanan” for it was surround by trees, plants, various vegetables. It was finally called as “ Paaralan sa Dryer” since the Mechanical Grain Drying Facility was the first classroom of the school.

Lambakin National High School was started its operation in 2002. It was named Putlod-San Jose High School-Annex, being Putlod-San Jose High School was the mother school. Mrs. Eva Fe Taclibon served its first principal. It had only population of 113 students who were sitting patiently on the empty sacks of rice under the roof of a “mechanical drying facility” which was divided to be looked like classroom. The said 113 students were taught by their pioneer teachers on voluntary basis, namely Miss Analyn Javate, Mrs. Luzviminda Roxas, Mr. Juanito G. Siobal and Mr. Alberto Labasan.

It had been formally separated from Putlod-San Jose National High School on April 27, 2004 by virtue of DepEd Order No.1 s. 2003. Classrooms from Gov. Thomas Joson (4) Congressman Rodolfo Antonino (4) Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce (4) Gov. Aurelio Umali (2) were constructed. Furthermore, two 2-storey buildings (six classrooms each) from PPP, and DPWH were built. A concrete perimeter fence for safety and protection and a gymnasium, and a stage for gatherings and physical activities were added.

Its officer-in-charge/principals after Mrs. Fe Taclibon were Mrs. Julieta Pajarillaga, Mrs. Editha Mendoza, Mr. Armando Lajom, Mrs. Marilou Adelante and Mr. Marcos D. Rafael.

Academically, Lambakin National High School has maintained its shining star. Many students have shown excellence and have received due recognition in the field of Mathematics, Press Conference, Social Science, athletics and in other fields.

At present, Lambakin National High School has 25 permanent teachers, one (1) ADAS II, one (1) SPI, one (1) Master Teacher I, one (1) ADAS III, one bookkeeper, Two contractual utility workers for Junior High School. In the Senior High School, there are eight teacher II, two teacher III, one ADAS II. The faculty and Staff has a total of 41 personnel who are pursuing the academic skills and talents through seminars, trainings and post graduate studies with the implementation of the K to 12 Basic Education Curriculum. Lambakin National High School has accepted the challenge. It is now offering General Academic Strand (GAS), and Tech-Voc strands: Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) and Information and Communication Technology (ICT). The ultimate dream is “to produce globally competitive graduates in the Academic and Tech-Voc Strands. Everyone is striving for every graduate to be prepared for “College, Entrepreneurship, Work and Skills”.
